About

The practice.

Jäger Analysis is the independent research practice of Dario Jäger, a qualitative researcher and analyst working across governance, international development, anthropology, and conflict analysis.

Background

Research grounded in how systems work

The practice was founded in February 2026 to provide clear written analysis for organisations working in complex institutional and political environments.

Dario Jäger is a qualitative researcher and analyst with a background in International Development and Cultural and Social Anthropology. Originally from Innsbruck, Austria, he began his academic training in Vienna in 2019. His work developed from anthropology into development studies, governance research, conflict analysis, and field-informed qualitative analysis.

He holds an MA in International Development and a BA in Cultural and Social Anthropology from the University of Vienna. His research examines how formal systems operate in practice: how institutions behave, how governance arrangements are shaped by informal routines, and how political, spatial, and social conditions affect implementation.

Approach

How the work is done

This perspective informs the work of Jäger Analysis OÜ, which focuses on institutional diagnostics, policy and document analysis, stakeholder and political economy analysis, and field-based qualitative research.

Each engagement begins with a defined scope and a written deliverable. Methods are chosen to fit the question: structured document analysis, semi-structured interviews, stakeholder mapping, comparative case work, and, where the design requires it, field observation.
